Journey Overview
Private excursions take you to Piaynemo, the Fam Islands and the Dampier Strait, with time to discover village life in Arborek. Between days on the water, enjoy the house reef and the quiet of Birie Island.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Sorong → Birie Island
Arrive in Sorong and continue by resort boat to Birie Island, where rainforest meets the sea. Settle into your Deluxe Overwater Bungalow at Papua Paradise Eco Resort, with time to explore the house reef or enjoy the views from your veranda.
Day 2 — Birie Island → Piaynemo & Fam Islands → Birie Island
Cruise by private speedboat to the Fam Islands and climb to Piaynemo’s viewpoint for views across limestone islets and turquoise lagoons. Snorkel coral gardens at sites selected by your guide, with Melissa’s Garden among the possibilities.
Day 3 — Birie Island → Dampier Strait → Arborek → Birie Island
Explore the coral reefs of the Dampier Strait, with a visit to a manta ray site when conditions allow. Continue to Arborek for a village walk, local handicrafts and snorkelling around selected reefs and jetties.
Day 4 — Birie Island
Spend the day at your own pace. Snorkel the house reef, kayak along the shoreline or unwind on your veranda. Spa treatments, diving for certified divers and private sunset cruises can be arranged at additional cost, subject to availability.
Day 5 — Birie Island → Depart Sorong
Return to Sorong by resort boat, followed by a private transfer to Domine Eduard Osok Airport for your onward flight.
